Free Settlement Services in the Community

Community Newcomers Services

Provided in partnership with Sanderson Library and Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre, services offered include: settlement workers on- site at the Library providing information, referral, interpretation etc., and The Great Start Together Perinatal Program at the Health Centre.

Tax Clinics for Low-income Newcomer Families

Tax Newcomers Services

Offered between February and April annually, free income tax clinics are provided to low-income newcomers. Appointments are required.

Settlement Services for Arabic-speaking Newcomers to Canada

Immigration Newcomers Services

Services include information and orientation, assistance with SIN, OHIP, housing, Canada Child Benefit, GST/HST, ESL, LINC, education, Income Tax Preparation, Permanent Resident Card renewal, Canadian Citizenship and more. Settlement workers provide service in Arabic, Burmese, English, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian and Ukrainian.
