Programs for People Living with Disabilities are for both youth and adults. From daycamps to social recreation, SCCC believes both the Centre and programs should be inclusive and accessible by all; we strive to achieve this to the best of our capacity.

WHO Adults living with disabilities
WHAT Participants come and enjoy a short swim followed by a social gathering afterwards. The pool is equipped with an accessible water chair lift that lowers participants into the water. For those who do not want to swim, feel free to socialize with other participants in the program room. Board games, cards, arts/crafts or just interesting conversation are always available. Light refreshments and healthy snacks are served.
WHEN Mondays and Thursdays 6:30pm – 8:00pm

 

WHO Youth and Young Adults who are physically or developmentally challenged
WHAT The program uses a variety of theatre techniques including popular theatre, verbal and non-verbal, role-playing movement and scene building.
WHEN Saturdays from 10:00am – 12:00pm

WHO Youth and Young Adults 13 to 29 who are physically or developmentally challenged
WHAT The program uses a variety of theatre techniques including popular theatre, verbal and non-verbal, role-playing movement and scene building. The program includes informative workshops related to theatre, field trips, guest speakers, and guest performers.
WHEN Monday to Friday from 10:00am – 2:00pm, for 6 weeks in the Summer

WHO A self directed cooking class for adults with disabilities of all ages
WHAT Culinary creativity enhancing and fun. Food included. Attendant services provided.  A collaboration between Scadding Court Community Centre and PACE Independent Living.
WHEN Every Wednesday from 12:00p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
